Dreamliner changing the face of luxury air travel

United Airlines is beginning its new nonstop service on the 787 Dreamliner, which is set to revolutionize air travel thanks to a host of upgraded amenities. The first route for the new plane will run from Los Angeles to Tokyo, offering travelers in either location a chance to explore another culture without the hassle of multiple layovers or uncomfortable flights.

"We are delighted to offer our customers in Los Angeles and Tokyo the comfort and spectacular flying experience of our new Boeing Dreamliner aircraft," said Jim Mueller, a United vice president. "We look forward to offering our customers the opportunity to experience the Dreamliner on additional international flights in the future."

The Dreamliner boasts new and improved lighting, bigger windows, larger overhead bins and more overall comfort. Enhanced ventilation keeps passengers happy throughout the flight, while an extensive entertainment system keeps fliers occupied.

Domestic routes for the Dreamliner were introduced in November, with flights connecting cities like Houston and Chicago, CNN reports. An additional 50 of the 787 planes are expected to be delivered to United to round out its new fleet of luxury vessels, expanding these top amenities to travelers around the world.
