Sky-high hotels offer a unique view on global destinations

Want to truly understand what it means to have a room with a view? It’s not just choosing a hotel in a stunning location – it’s choosing a hotel that rises high above that destination. A few accommodations around the world are housed in skyscrapers that offer a spectacular perspective of their surroundings, and globetrotters who want to find a unique view on their locale can head to one of these premier hotels for an amazing experience.

Dubai
Dubai may be the hottest new destination for luxury travelers, and for good reason. The city is packed with elegant attractions, but none capture style quite like the Armani Hotel, which is found in Burj Kalifa - the world’s tallest building. About 160 rooms span a variety of floors in this breathtaking structure, along with restaurants, shopping outlets, a spa and even the world’s largest performing fountain, so guests may never even have to leave the tower to experience the best of Dubai. One glance out your room’s window may change that idea, however, as the alluring city will be spread out below you.

Hong Kong
Boasting one of the most impressive skylines of any city in the world, Hong Kong is a place where travelers will definitely want to find a place where they gaze out onto Victoria Harbour. In order to do just that, book a room at The Ritz-Carlton, where you can currently find the world’s highest hotel suite, CNN reports.

The hotel itself is made up of more than 300 rooms on floors 102 to 118 at the International Commerce Centre. At the top of the tower is Ozone, the world’s highest bar, so everyone from hotel guests to curious travelers can stop by and soak up the view with a drink in hand.

Los Angeles
Travelers heading to Los Angeles will soon be able to get a bird’s-eye-view of the expansive city. Korean Air is in the process of developing a $1 billion building that would house offices and a hotel, and once the 1,100-foot structure is complete, travelers will be able to lounge in suites from atop L.A.’s highest tower.

According to Bloomberg, the hotel lobby will be situated on the 70th floor of the tower, and guests can enjoy restaurants and an open-air pool on higher levels. Located just steps away from the Staples Center, L.A. Live entertainment complex and several top restaurants, the upcoming tower should draw travelers from all over the world.Â
