Can’t Miss: Café Du Monde
Imagine letting all your cares collapse into a warm café au lait. You’re enjoying a sweet beignet, and live music lingers on the breeze. Through the window, you can see artists at work in the Square across the street. Bustling crowds of people stroll by as you sip and socialize at the lovely Café Du Monde.
Café du Monde was established in 1862 and still maintains a true sense of antique French charm. The traditional coffee shop offers dark roasted coffee with chicory, white milk, chocolate milk, and freshly squeezed orange juice. But they’re famous for their beignets — those sweet French doughnuts with powdered sugar sprinkled on top. (Learn to make a traditional French Quarter Beignet here!)
Located in New Orleans’ French Quarter, the historic coffee shop upholds a lively atmosphere 24/7. (minus Christmas Day and during the occasional hurricane, of course.)
