Reverse Stargazing: Cities From Space
And you were worried about seeing some stars. In the age of electricity, stargazing is a lost art. Right. So global light pollution is obviously an issue; when we look up at night from any central urbanized space, the sky just pulsates some sort of ambient alien glow.
But what about looking down? In attempt to draw attention to the issue at hand, some astronauts went up, armed with cameras, to photograph these glittery, glowing urban empires at night from above. It might be problematic, but it sure is pretty. Check out some of these shots of cities from space.
