The smart traveller knows their travel accessories, and knows which ones are best suited for the destination at hand. If you are travelling with children you will want to consider travel products which the single traveller might ignore. The most common travel accessories for most travellers include:

Luggage

From carry-on luggage to massive storage suitcases, the type of luggage you choose one of the biggest travel accessory decisions that you will make. Think about what you REALLY need to bring on your trip before choosing your luggage…a little thought beforehand will save you hours of frustration when you arrive! You neither want to bring too little luggage, or to spend your trip lugging around clothes and other travel accessories that you could really have left at home.

Travel Translators & Adaptors

Travel Translators are small pocket-sized devices that translate words spoken in your native language into the foreign language of the destination you are visiting. They are an invaluable travel accessory for anyone who anticipates some language issues or translation issues while traveling abroad. The same goes for Travel Adaptors, which help you plugin in your electronic devices into wall sockets in countries that use a different electrical plug standard then you might be used to. If you are travelling to Europe or Africa, it’s well worth it to purchase a travel adaptor beforehand.

Kids Travel Accessories

From baby backpacks to kid’s travel security devices, there are many items on the market today that can help parents stay sane while traveling with their children abroad. In particular, look out for travel accessories that keep your kids safe (security id bracelets, travel wallets, etc), or, those which will keep them busy or occupied while on route to your holiday destination (portable dvd players, travel guides, travel translators, etc.)
